Before you reserve: the New Orleans package cancellation policy, supplier by supplier

The New Orleans package cancellation policy on this site is short because the real terms belong to the suppliers. Every piece of a stay is reserved with a hotel or operator under its own rules, and those rules are printed in full in your quote before you accept.

While the quote is still only a quote

Nothing is held. You can change the dates, the corner or the length of the stay as often as you like, and let the quote lapse without any charge.

After you accept

Each supplier's own terms apply from the moment you reserve with it. Ordinary hotel nights in New Orleans are often changeable until a few days before arrival; parade weekends, festival weekends and some December nights are usually reserved on terms that keep a deposit or the full stay. Classes and suppers set their own windows. The quote spells out each term, so you know the cost of a change before you make one.

Changing a reserved stay, or calling it off

Write to plans@toursneworleans.com or call +1 (404) 876-6517. The planner contacts each supplier for you, tells you what each one charges under its terms, and sends you the new confirmations. Refunds come from the supplier that took the payment, in the way that supplier pays them.

Storms and closures

Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30. When a storm, a closure or a supplier's own cancellation affects your stay, the supplier's terms decide what is refunded or moved, and the planner works through the options with you and each supplier.

The office's own share of a change: nothing added

The office is paid by the suppliers' commission and adds nothing of its own to the price in a quote. Any cost of a change is the supplier's charge under its own terms, shown before you decide. The full terms of reserving through this office are on the fine print of a stay, and prices are explained on the page about how each from-price is figured.
